How will a sprinkler system affect my water bill?
The change in your water bill will most likely be in relation to how and how much you currently water your lawn and landscape. Most people use a garden hose with all kinds of manually adjusted sprinkler heads. This usually provides underwatering in some areas and overwatering in others. An automatic sprinkler system by Pro Rain gives you the advantage of watering much more efficiently overall. However this also provides you with an opportunity to water areas that previously you just couldn't. So there will most likely be an increase in your water bill. However the beauty of an automatic sprinkler system is that for the first time you will have complete control of this. You will now be able to water exactly where you want, when you want, and for how long you want.
Other things that can help keep watering costs at a minimum are:
- A second water meter available by most municipalities
- An automatic rain sensor to shut down watering during rainy periods
- Simply turning the dial to the off position and only turning it on when necessary
How long will a typical sprinkler system last?
You can expect many years out of your new sprinkler system. The RainBird sprinkler heads we install come with a 3-5 year warranty, which is the best in the industry. - After 30 years in the business, we are seeing very little breakdown to most parts of the systems that we have put in even 25-30 years ago. After 12-15 years the rotating parts of the system may individually require repair or replacement at a minimal cost. But we have been amazed at how most of the older systems and their parts have just kept rolling along year after year.
How much damage will occur when putting in a new system?
This is a valid concern since most people who want a sprinkler system already have a nice lawn and landscape already. We take pride in how neat and clean your property will look immediately after the install is complete. We use tarps for the dirt removal, tamping to prevent future settling, and rakes and brooms to provide the nice finish. Most people comment on how much it looks like we were never there. This is a marked distinction between Pro Rain and most other companies.
How We Bill You
All of our invoices are sent to your email. If your payment is not received by the due date, we automatically send payment reminders to your email. You can pay electronically from the invoice using a credit/debit card or an ACH payment.
